The Fort of Derawar
The Derawar Fort was originally built as a Bhati fort in the 9th century CE and was renovated by Nawab Sadeq Mohammad Khan in 1732.

There is a fortress known as the Derawar Fort located in Ahmadpur East Tehsil of the district of Bahawalpur in Punjab, Pakistan in the town of Ahmadpur. A few kilometers south of Ahmedpur East, in the Cholistan Desert, is where Derawar's forty bastions can be found. These walls are one of the largest in the world. With a perimeter of 1500 metres and a height of up to thirty metres, they are one of the biggest in the world.

As a tribute to Rawal Deoraj Bhati, the Derawar fort was built by Rai Jajja Bhati, a Hindu Rajput ruler of the Bhati family[3], as a tribute to the Bhati family. In the beginning, the fort was called Dera Rawal, and then it was called Dera Rawar, which was renamed Dasawar.
It was in the 18th century that Muslims Nawabs of Bahawalpur forcibly displaced the Shahotra tribe from the fort. Despite the fact that the palace was renovated by the Abbasi ruler Nawab Sadeq Muhammad in 1732, it still appears today as it did then. Nawab Mubarak Khan took over this city in 1804 because Bahawal Khan was occupied with Shikarpur at the time. Shells from 1,000-year-old catapults were discovered in the debris close to a decaying wall in the fort.
Sadeq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V, the state's 12th and last ruler, was born in the fort of Bahawalpur in 1904.

Furthermore, the fort is not only large and visually appealing, but it is also constructed of clay bricks and has a square structure, which gives it a look of a fortress, as well as being built using clay bricks. These walls have a length of 1500 meters, and a height of 30 meters, which makes up a total of 1500 meters of wall length. There are forty circular bastions located on each side of the pyramid that stand 30 meters high and are visible from miles away in the desert, as they are divided into ten units on each side of the pyramid. As far as the eye can see, the bastions can be seen for miles across the desert.
The renovation process [Edit]
It was built in 1732 by Nawab Sadeq Muhammad when the Fort was renovated into its current form. It has been announced that Rs46 million has been allocated by the provincial government for the purpose of resuming the conservation of Derawar Fort in 2019. Located near Bahawalpur in the Cholistan desert, not very far from Bahawalpur, there is an iconic building that stands out from the rest of the buildings in the city. This major project included the conservation of a warehouse outside of the fort for storage of food grains, as well as the underpinning of damaged portions of the bastion, walls, and platform, in addition to underpinning the north-eastern side of the bastion and the walls. In addition to the sloped floor in the baradari, the walls adjacent to the main gate, and the interior of the fort, there were also underpinnings done to the interior.
