Ghanta Ghar (Multan)

The Multan clock tower, Ghanta Ghar, is one of the most famous clock towers in the world, and it is located in the Punjab province in Pakistan, which is the largest province in the country.

There are many interesting things to see in Multan, but the clock tower is one of its most famous landmarks

This is the history of [edit]

There was a Ghanta Ghar built in Multan under the British Raj in 1884 under the British Raj during the British Raj in British India. Taking into consideration the fact that the Municipal Act was passed in 1883, it became apparent that offices were needed in order to administer the city effectively. A foundation had been laid for Multan's Ghanta Ghar on 12 February 1884, which signified that construction of the structure had been underway for four years since the foundation was laid on that day. During the Siege of Multan, a haveli once belonged to Ahmad Khan Sadozai, but the building was destroyed during the siege and replaced by the current structure that stands today. The hall and building were renamed after Ripon, the viceroy of India at the time, who had also renamed them after the viceroy of India at the time. During the period 1872 to 1873, a clock tower was built in the city of Northbrook, named Northbrook Tower, as a tribute to the Viceroy of India who served in that position from 1872 to 1873, Northbrook.

Construction of the building, the opening of the building, and the commencement of its operations all took place in 1888 with the commencement of its construction in the year 1888. As a result of Pakistan's independence in 1947, the hall was renamed Jinnah Hall in honor of the independence of Pakistan, which has since become one of the most popular venues for office meetings as well as cultural events. A small meeting room was no longer sufficient for the number of meetings which were held in this office, so this building was not able to house the offices and the meeting room was no longer adequate for the number of meetings which were held in this office. As per reports, the building is expected to be converted into a museum quite soon, which will be situated in the vicinity of the building.

There is a clock in the tower [edit]

The clocks at Ghanta Ghar were repaired on October 27, 2011, as a result of which they have started displaying PST again on October 27, 2011, which in Ghanta Ghar's time zone is +5GMT. Rado Watchmaker, who was in charge of the project, was the one who carried out the repairs on the watch. Although the mechanism of the clock and the needles of the clock have been updated, the main dial of the clock has remained the same. Solar panels are used for the purpose of powering the device, so that it can be operated. The clock developed a problem in 1985, which caused it to malfunction as a result of an issue with the mechanism.

This is an edited version of the Multan museum

When Multan's Ghanta Ghar was built during the British colonial period, it was built in the Indo-Saracenic style.

Multan has a museum that belongs to the city government, known as the Ghanta Ghar Multan. Funds have been allocated for the project, and work has started on it, but the site remains closed to the public despite the fact that each new government overturns the plans and promises of the previous one.
