As a result of being bowled out for 188 runs in the second innings of the match, Sri Lanka eventually lost the match.

There is a score of 222 runs in the innings, and the Pakistani team wins the match by 222 runs.

There were 576 fives at the end of Pakistan's first innings when they declared a day earlier.

The seven-wicket haul by Nauman Ali helped Pakistan defeat Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the second Test of the series in order to win the series by an innings and 222 runs.

Sri Lanka made 188 runs in the second innings of their match and Naseem Shah was the man who took the last three wickets to secure the victory.

It was the right-arm pacer who set the tone for Nauman Ali, who looked superb as he knocked over seven hundred off his spell in a spell of nearly eight overs.

Despite all the criticism, Nauman, 36, made a great comeback and thrashed Sri Lanka's batting line-up after they had fallen 41 runs behind while they were still trying to fight back.

A half-century was reached within two overs by Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan on the fourth day of the match, bringing them to 576-5 in their first innings.

A very early breakthrough came for Pakistan in the 7th over when Namman provided a breakthrough which led to Sri Lanka having to declare their innings at 81-1 when Pakistan took the field. Nauman's spin attack began to click after lunch, and he was quickly able to take five more wickets with the help of his spin attack.

After Nauman took all six wickets in the middle of the day, Sri Lankans ended up with 143-6 on the board after losing three wickets in the first innings.

When Naseem came back from tea, he once again began his hunt for wickets, but it was such a long time until he was able to get his first wicket. During the course of the innings, Nauman also managed to bag his seventh wicket after an 'out' decision was reversed, bringing him one step closer to the world record of all ten wickets in an innings.

As the scoreboard was ticking down, it was Naseem who finally struck, and did so, and he did so in style, taking the last three wickets in a row.

The unbeaten 63 runs that Angelo Mathews scored in the second innings of this match, which included seven boundaries and two maximums, helped his team win the match in an intensely competitive manner by playing all the way to the end.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan were struggling at 563-5 when their innings were resumed on day four with Rizwan (37) and Agha Salman (132). During the play, Rizwan completed a half-century rapidly, which was followed by the declaration of the match by Babar Azam.

Rizwan's half-century was the eighth he had made in Test cricket while taking 20 wickets. He started in place of the former National Football League player Sarfaraz Ahmed because Ahmed was suffering from a concussion. At the end of the third day, Sarfaraz, who had hit 14 from 14 balls in the match, was struck on the helmet by the first ball that he faced to end the match. He walked off the field after experiencing severe head pains that caused him to stop playing.

With just 13 runs each from Rizwan and Agha, the Pakistani team extended their lead to 410 on the fourth day of the match.

Having bowled 148 balls, Agha managed to score an unbeaten 132 runs for his side, which included 15 fours and a six in between. In the meantime, Abdullah Shafique achieved the first time that he reached 200 in his career.
